Wiring Methodology for Out-of-box DALI-2 Broadcast DALI Dimming functionality
Follow these steps and experience the benefits of DALI dimming performance. DALI broadcast wiring uses a simple two-wire, polarity-free control cable that connects all DALI-2 compatible devices in parallel on the same bus. This control line is run separately to the mains power wiring and forms a single DALI line. Since broadcast control doesn’t require individual addressing, setup is straightforward – just connect all devices to the DALI line, and they will all respond to the same commands.
Movement and Occupancy Sensors
Elevate the “Out-of-box” functionality with Movement Sensors
The advantage of a DALI-2 system is the ability to simplify incorporating switches and sensors as required. DALI broadcast is a simplified method of sending commands to all DALI devices on a network simultaneously, without addressing each one individually. Instead of targeting specific fixtures, a broadcast command affects every connected device, making it useful for basic applications like turning all lights on or off or dimming them together – ideal for installations where individual control is not required.

The RAPIX DALI-2 LED Modular Switches fit most common wall switch apertures
The RAPIX DALI-2 LED Modular Switches are designed to fit seamlessly into most standard wall plate apertures, making them ideal for both new installations and retrofits. To suit a wide range of aesthetic and functional requirements, a range of interchangeable coloured bezels, dials and grip rings are available to allow easy customisation. For high-traffic or public environments, an optional anti-vandal kit is also available, providing added durability and tamper resistance where it’s needed most.
