Description

A Control 4 RAPIX Driver to allow Bi-Directional Control of the RAPIX DALI-2 Lighting Control System and the Control 4 Automation System.

For more information on how to setup and install, please download the installation and setup guide below.

Update 21 December 2022: Added support for Control4 Advanced Lighting Scenes.

Update 15 February 2023: Improved operation of Scenes.

Updated 15 October 2024: Implemented Keypad bindings. Auto Setup now deletes old bindings for zones, scenes and flags that are no longer available, and recreates bindings for zones, scenes and flags that have new names or capabilities.

Updated 3 March 2026: Changed the allocation of Zones, Scenes and Flags. This is a breaking change – see important notes below.

Important Notes:

1. This driver is FREE. It is developed by Chowmain and is available from Ozuno or the Chowmain web site.

2. Chowmain do not provide customer support on this driver. If support is needed, please contact Ozuno.

3. The V1 driver series has a limit of 300 RAPIX Zones, 300 Scenes and 300 flags that can be imported into and used by Control4.

4. The V2 driver has a limit of 600 RAPIX Zones, 300 Scenes and 100 flags that can be imported into and used by Control4.

5. Upgrading from the V1 driver to the V2 driver will require the Control4 system to be re-commissioned. Consequently, if the V1 driver is installed and working – do not update to the V2 driver.

V1 Driver: See Notes and Limits above. Recommended for any updates needed on sites commissioned before 3 March 2026, or using prior releases of the driver.

V2 Driver: See Notes and Limits above. Recommended for:

  • all new sites and installations; or
  • for upgrade of an existing site where the V1 driver limits have been exceeded. Note that upgrading the driver is a breaking change. The Control4 system will need to be commissioned again after upgrading.
